About Kaewsamrit Gym!

Kaewsamrit gym was founded in 1992 by Mr Anan Chantip, a former professional Muaythai boxer with over 200 fights experience. Anan fought under the ring name Srimuang Singsuanngern and fought many fights as main event at both of Thailands main stadiums Lumpini and Ratchadamneon.

As he neared the end of his fighting career in Thailand Anan got the chance to travel overseas and fight and teach Muaythai with trips to France, Belgium, Japan, Korea and New Zealand. After he retired Anan started training fighters and his first protégé was his wife’s younger brother Kreukchai Sor Kettalingchan. Under Anan’s guidance Kreukchai went on to become Lumpini stadium mini-flyweight champion and went on to become one of promoter Songchai Ratanasuban’s top fighters.

After a while Anan decided it was time to open his own gym and started Kaewsamrit. With Anan at the helm Kaewsamrit soon started to get a reputation as a gym that produced top quality fighters that always entered the ring in top shape. With Kreukchai now fighting under the Kaewsamrit gym name and fighters like Watcharachai and Anuwat coming through the name Kaewsamrit gym went from strength to strength.

In 2001 Kaewsamrit gym was runner up to Por Pramuk in the vote for the best Muaythai camp in Thailand. In 2002 it was voted number one camp in Thailand and in 2003 number three. In the votes for 2004 Kaewsamrit again took runner up spot, losing out by only 2 votes to Sangmorakot gym. With a big stable of promising young Thai fighters coming through Kaewsamrit looks set to stay in the top positions of Thailands elite Muaythai camps for some time to come.
Kaewsamrit gym now welcomes boxers from overseas to train alongside its impressive group of young fighters, in a clean, friendly, training environment, where you can just come to improve your skills, improve your general level of fitness, prepare for competition abroad, or compete here in Thailand.
